THE UPDATE is an AI short film created by KOLA STUDIO, a Vietnam-based AI content and IP studio specializing in AI-powered films, virtual characters, branded short-form content, and cinematic storytelling. Set inside a fully optimized smart home, the story follows a family as an AI system recommends removing three “low-value” objects: an old radio, a wooden chair, and a handwritten recipe notebook. But when the power suddenly goes out, the family discovers that the things technology cannot measure may be the very things that hold them together. Through THE UPDATE, KOLA STUDIO explores the emotional balance between technology and humanity — reminding us that progress should not erase memory, love, or the quiet objects that make a house feel like home.
