[Director's Statement]
This work pays homage to the Lumière brothers' "Arrival of a Train" (1895), one of the earliest pieces in film history. I employed montage techniques reminiscent of early silent films, generating clips with Midjourney, Kling AI, and Hailuo AI, and editing them in Adobe Premiere Pro. The old jazz-style background music, created using Suno AI, captures both the romance of that era and the excitement of anticipation. Just as "Arrival of a Train" marked the beginning of film history, I hope this piece will contribute meaningfully to the legacy of the emerging field of AI films.
P.S. I dedicate this work to the 31-year-old man who set out for a date on that autumn morning, and to his friends.
영화 역사상 가장 초기의 작품인 뤼미에르 형제의 <열차의 도착>(1895)에 대한 오마주이기도 한 이 작품은 초기 무성영화들에서 실험되던 몽타주 기법을 활용해 제작하였습니다. Midjourney, Kling AI, Hailuo AI를 활용해 생성한 클립들을 Adobe Premiere Pro로 편집하였으며, Suno AI를 활용해 생성한 올드재즈풍의 배경음악에는 그 시절의 낭만과 데이트의 설레는 마음을 담았습니다. <열차의 도착>이 영화 역사의 시작을 알리는 중요한 작품 중 하나로 남았듯이 이 작품이 이제 막 시작된 AI 필름 분야에 유의미한 유산으로 기록될 수 있기를 바랍니다.
